Bikes For Sale

Acquired this 1983 CB1000C bike in November 2011, and been gradually working to get it back to good enuf shape to be someone's (your) daily rider. Mileage was only 47,700 is now closer to 48K as I have been riding it as I work on it.

  • I have put a brand new SlipStreamer windshield on the fairing
  • Recovered the seat with a brand new seat cover off eBay
  • Replaced the broken left saddlebag with one off eBay
  • Bought a spare rear trunk off eBay as the current one is cracked - I am still using the cracked on with no issues
  • Replaced the broken choke cable
  • Changed the oil & filter, new magnetic drain plug
  • New brake pads all around. Flushed all the break fluid, freed the blocked front master cylinder and cleaned all the calipers and replaced worn rubber bushings
  • Replace the bent side stand
  • Replaced the tires with used good Dunlop tires from my own stash
  • Still needs new fork seals and turn signals do not flash. I might replace the forks with rebuilt ones in my stash, but electric issues are not my thing

Bike is now "safe" to ride and I have been riding it once in a while. I would replace all the caliper piston seals this winter

Previous owner delivered (rode it not trailered) this bike to me in Rhode Island from Ohio because we both do not want to see it parted out. Over 700 miles in one day and it runs sweet ! !

Still needs much TLC (thorough clean and polish), but will be a good, cheap, fun ride. I can supply any parts still needed from my own stash of CB1000C parts.
